Nadia booted from `AF8'

The sixth weekly elimination concert of Akademi Fantasia 8 (AF8) saw contestant Nadia Roselan being shown the door after receiving the lowest number of text message votes.

Nadia, 22, from Klang, performed Jikalau Aku by Ezlynn, but failed to impress viewers and judges Adlin Aman Ramlie, Aznil Nawawi and Syafinaz Selamat.

The young singer's elimination, which was announced in the live results show Debaran AF8 at 9pm last night, brings the number of contestants down to seven.

Unlike in previous years, contestants are told about their elimination a day after the weekly Konsert AF8, broadcast live over Astro Ria at 9pm on Saturdays from Dewan Sri Putra, Stadium Putra, Bukit Jalil.
